ACA IT Handbook
At ACA IT, we worked hard to simplify our processes, break down silos, and give our team the tools they need to succeed. The outcome is "The Things That Matter". A guide that brings us together, clarifies our operations, and speeds up onboarding for new team members.

Content First, Design Second
We lead with content because clarity solves more problems than decoration ever will. In IT, we saw confusion grow when processes and expectations were not clearly documented. By focusing on the message first, we set a standard from day one so there is no doubt about what needs to be done or how. The design then becomes a tool to guide people through that information.

A Playbook Everyone Can Follow
The handbook exists to take the guesswork out of IT. We created it because too many expectations were being passed around verbally or assumed, which led to inconsistency. By putting everything in writing, we set a clear framework from the moment someone joins the team and give everyone a reference to keep work aligned when things start to drift.

Clarity Over Clutter
Every element on a page should earn its place. I strip away anything that distracts from the main message, keeping only what helps guide the user. This leads to designs that feel clean, intentional, and easy to navigate without sacrificing personality.
Spreads that don’t contain proprietary company information.

Redefining Norms
"The Things That Matter" sets the tone for success in IT. By being thoughtful about what we say and how we say it, we broke conventions and helped our team tackle challenges with clarity. This project is a stepping stone for future work, where our contributions shape both our and our company’s future.

We also created a video series that runs parallel to the content.
Unfortunately, I can’t show the videos due to them containing proprietary company information. However, I can show the intro animations. The one on the left is the main title sequence, and the one on the right is a template I made for each chapter. Since we had a full team editing these videos and consistency was key, I felt that an easy-to-navigate After Effects template would be useful and help us be more efficient.
